MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE
NORTH OLMSTED PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION
August 6, 2007

Meeting called to order: 7:00 p.m.

In Attendance: John J. Lasko, Jr., Chairperson
Ted DiSalvo, Commissioner

John Dailey, Director, Community Life Services
Paul Barker, Councilman
Terry Groden, Member

Visitors: Miguel Cora, NOSO
Stephen J. Roche

Mr. Lasko opened the meeting and roll call was taken.

Everyone then stood and recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

VISITORS’ OPPORTUNITY TO ADDRESS COMMISSION

Mr. Cora introduced himself as from North Olmsted Soccer Organization. He came as an observer.
He had one question: in the Barton/Bradley parking lot, he asked why what looked to be a huge
amount of shaved asphalt was there. Mr. Dailey said that it came from street repairs being done in the
development, and was to be used as a base before new asphalt was poured for repaving the parking
lot. That’s what the goal is.

As regards the playground equipment, Mr. Cora wanted to know if NOSO would chip in some money
to help pay for some of it, and Mr. Dailey said that the City would be glad to accept it.

Mr. Roche said that he came as an observer and identified himself as the Secretary’s husband.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF JULY 23, 2007
REGARDING THE RECREATION MASTER PLAN

Upon Motion made by Mr. Lasko and duly seconded by Mr. Barker, the Minutes of July 23, 2007
were approved unanimously.

SUB COMMITTEE REPORTS

None
