Regular Meeting of the North Olmsted Civil Service Commission - December 18, 1975 <br />Present were Commissioners John Grady, Bill Coming, Chairman Al Conte, <br />Secretary James Kline and Fire Chief Ray Bement. <br />Correspondence: <br />1. November 26, 1975 - Letter from Henry Caster, Service Director, advising <br />the Commission of job position in the Engineering Department. <br />2., December 9, 1975 - Letters sent by the Commission to: <br />A. Ray Carnahan - submitting applicant from Patrolman's list. <br />B. Ray Carnahan - submitting names from promotional list for <br />Police Department. <br />C. J. Robert Kraps (Nov. 24) - Answering questions on status after the <br />probationary period and status of classified - non -testable <br />positions. <br />D. Henry Caster - Listing classification status of positions in <br />Transportation Department. <br />E. Letter to Robert Prickett - advising him of the by-passing of his <br />name on the Patrolman's list at this time. <br />The Commission proceeded to discuss with Chief Ray Bement of the Fire Depart- <br />ment, the requirements and qualifications for Fireman and Policeman. The <br />topics of residency, physical requirements, and veteran's preference credit <br />were discussed. A decision and list of requirements will be established by <br />the Commission in the near future. <br />The Commission read and discussed two investigative reports and recommendations <br />for removal from the Certified Patrolman's lists by the North Olmsted Police <br />Department. <br />Motion by J. Grady, seconded by B. Coming that John Allen Hogan and Thomas. <br />Albert Godd be removed from the certified list of Patrolman and properly notified <br />of such removal. <br />Passed. <br />The Commission proceeded to review the job descriptions for the Engineering <br />Department as to classification status. <br />
