REGULAR MEETING OF THE NORTH OLMSTED CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION - 12/15/77 <br />Present, were Commissioners Bill Coming; Harry Malone and Walter Spalding. <br />Motion by W. Spalding, seconded by B. Coming that the minutes of November 17, <br />1977 be approved as corrected. <br />Passed. <br />Correspondence: <br />1. November 29 - December 1, 1977 - Letters from Chief Marion R. Taylor, <br />North Olmsted, advising the Commission on the interviewing and <br />appointment of new patrolman. The following candidates were ap- <br />pointed as patrolman: Daryl Longley; Keith Young; Stephen Wolf', <br />and Robert Flynn. <br />2. December 1, 1977 - Letter from Chief Taylor requesting that candidate <br />Robert Maiterth be removed from the present patrolman's list. <br />3. December 2, 1977 - Letter from Chief Taylor advising the Commission of <br />Lieutenant Howard Adams' retirement as of February 22, 1978. <br />f 4. December 5, 1977 - Letters from Ernie Zoldesy, General Manager Bus <br />Department, advising the Commission of personnel changes. <br />The Commission discussed the correspondence and -request from Chief of Police <br />Marion Taylor concerning the status of Robert Maiterth,•a candidate for patrol- <br />man. <br />The Commission acknowledged that Robert Maiterth has been considered four <br />times and could now be removed from the patrolman's eligibility list. <br />The Commission proceeded to discuss the status of the Commission's organiza- <br />tion for the new year. The position of secretary was discussed for the <br />coming year. <br />Motion by Harry Malone, seconded by Walter Spalding that the present secretary, <br />James P. Kline, 5600 Revere Drive, North Olmsted, Ohio be employed as <br />secretary of the North Olmsted Civil Service Commission for the calendar year <br />of 1978. <br />Passed. <br />
