REGULAR MEETING OF THE NORTH OLMSTED CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION - 12/15/77 Present, were Commissioners Bill Coming; Harry Malone and Walter Spalding. Motion by W. Spalding, seconded by B. Coming that the minutes of November 17, 1977 be approved as corrected. Passed. Correspondence: 1. November 29 - December 1, 1977 - Letters from Chief Marion R. Taylor, North Olmsted, advising the Commission on the interviewing and appointment of new patrolman. The following candidates were ap- pointed as patrolman: Daryl Longley; Keith Young; Stephen Wolf', and Robert Flynn. 2. December 1, 1977 - Letter from Chief Taylor requesting that candidate Robert Maiterth be removed from the present patrolman's list. 3. December 2, 1977 - Letter from Chief Taylor advising the Commission of Lieutenant Howard Adams' retirement as of February 22, 1978. f 4. December 5, 1977 - Letters from Ernie Zoldesy, General Manager Bus Department, advising the Commission of personnel changes. The Commission discussed the correspondence and -request from Chief of Police Marion Taylor concerning the status of Robert Maiterth,•a candidate for patrol- man. The Commission acknowledged that Robert Maiterth has been considered four times and could now be removed from the patrolman's eligibility list. The Commission proceeded to discuss the status of the Commission's organiza- tion for the new year. The position of secretary was discussed for the coming year. Motion by Harry Malone, seconded by Walter Spalding that the present secretary, James P. Kline, 5600 Revere Drive, North Olmsted, Ohio be employed as secretary of the North Olmsted Civil Service Commission for the calendar year of 1978. Passed.
