MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE NORTH OLMSTED CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION <br />February 22, 1979 <br />Present were Chairman Harry Malone, Commissioner, Walter Spalding and Secretary <br />James P. Kline. <br />Correspondence: <br />1. Letters from Chief Taylor, North Olmsted Police Department, informing <br />the Commission of two applicants who have requested that their names <br />be removed from the Patrolman List. <br />2. Letter from Chief Taylor, North Olmsted, Ohio regarding patrolman <br />applicant, Michael D. Lider, requesting his name be removed from <br />the list. <br />3. Letter to Michael D. Lider, patrolman applicant, requesting his <br />appearance before the Commission concerning Chief Taylor's request <br />for removal. <br />New Business: <br />Motion by W. Spalding, seconded by H. Malone, that the following bill be <br />submitted to the City Finance Department for payment: <br />McCann Associates $44.61 <br />(Fire Performance Evaluation System - <br />3 manuals 150 rating sets) <br />Passed. <br />The Commission discussed an incident, reported by the secretary, which <br />occurred during a review of the Promotional Test for Fire Lieutenant. The <br />incident involved the removal of a test booklet by one of the candidates <br />at the conclusion of the review session. <br />The test booklet was in the possession of the fireman for a one-week period. <br />It was detected by Chief Bement who notified the Commission's Secretary and <br />returned it to the Secretary. <br />
