Jxzo<- X <br />Minutes of the regular meeting of the North Olmsted Civil Service Commission held. <br />on January 29, 1981. <br />Present wer commissioners Walter Spalding and Harry Malone and secretary Judy Mise. <br />Motion by Walter Spalding, seconded by Harry Malone, that the minutes of the <br />meeting held on January 8, 1981 be accepted as presented. <br />Passed. <br />Correspondence Received: <br />Jan. 5, 1981 - Chief Taylor, hiring of Charles Hassing as police dispatcher <br />Jan. 6, 1981 - Chief Taylor, copy of form sent by Linda Guzay requesting that her <br />name be removed from the eligibility list for police dispatcher <br />Jan. 6, 1981 - Chief Taylor, results of.interviews of applicants for police <br />dispatcher and request for additional names <br />Jan. 7, 1981 - Eugene Petre, retirement of Fire Chief, Ray Bement and request <br />for names from eligible lists for Captain, Lieutenant, and <br />Firefighter <br />Jan. 8, 1981 - Chief Taylor, concerning police applicant,. Joseph M. Ehrbar <br />Jan. 12, 1981'- Ken Mues, Municipal Bus Line, completion of probationary period of <br />bus operators, Thomas Dooling and Kathryn A. Joyce and resignation <br />of operator, Frank Smith <br />Jan. 1.2, 1981 - Chief Taylor, copy of form sent by Patricia S. Wehagen request5.nr;- <br />that she not be appointed as police dispatcher at this time <br />Dec. 19, 1980 - Urban League of Greater Cleveland,•requesting notification of <br />upcoming examinations for police and fire departments <br />Correspondence Sent: <br />Jan. 10, 1981-.l-ugene Petre, certifying names from eligible lists for Fire <br />Captain, Lieutenant and Firefighter <br />Jan. 10, 1981 - Chief Taylor, certifying names from eligible list for police <br />dispatcher <br />Motion by Harry Malone, seconded by Walter Spalding, that the following bill. be <br />submitted to the City Finance Department for payment: <br />Ohio Fire Chiefs' Association $400.00 <br />(examination for Assistant Fire Chief <br />Passed. <br />The results of the examination for Secretary for the school system were reviewed. <br />The report from McCann Associates was discussed. Motion by Walter Spalding, seconded <br />by Harry Malone, that a weighted scoring system recommended by McCann's be used. <br />Passed. <br />Motion by Harry Malone, seconded by Walter Spalding that the recommended passing <br />score of 50 be used. <br />
