Is <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION <br />NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />400 c <br />Minutes of the regular meeting of the North Olmsted Civil Service Commission held <br />on July 22, 1982. <br />Present were Commissioners Roger Alexander and Walter_S,pal_di_ng and Acting Secretary <br />Judy Wise. Also in attendafce were Dr:'Philip D. Huffman, Fire Chief John Van Kuren, <br />Safety Director Eugene Petre and Mr. Gregory Smith. <br />Motion by Walter Spalding, seconded by Roger Alexander, that the minutes of the previous <br />meeting be accepted as presented. <br />Passed. <br />Correspondence Received: <br />June 26, 1982 - Thomas Terbrack, Operations Supervisor, North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line, <br />Correspondence Sent: <br />July 1, 1982 - Steven Harris, concerning removal of his. name from Certified List for <br />Firefighter <br />July 1, 1982 - Gregory Smith, concerning removal of his name from certified list for <br />Firefighter <br />July 1, 1982 - APQTC, requesting information regarding norms for physical agility exam <br />Mr. Gregory Smit was present to discuss the removal of his name from the certified list <br />for Firefighter. He outlined reasons why he felt he should be considered as a satisfactory <br />candidate for the position. After careful consideration by the Commission, there was a <br />motion by Walter Spalding, seconded by Roger Alexander, that the original decision <br />stand and Mr. Smith's name be removed. <br />Passed. <br />Motion by Walter Spalding, seconded by Roger Alexander, that since Steven Harris did <br />not appear at this meeting, his name shall be removed from the certified list for <br />Firefighter. <br />Passed. <br />Mr. Petre raised the question as to whether the change in the age requirement passed <br />at the February meeting applied also to Firefighter candidates also.
