t-.- CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED
CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION
NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO
MINUTES
NOVEMBER 30, 1982
Meeting of the North Olmsted Civil Service Commission was called to order
at 7:55 P.M. by Chairman Walter Spalding. In attendance were Commissioners
Roger Alexander and Philip Huffman.' Also present were Civil Service Sec-
retary Patricia Bahas-andand Fire Chief John VanKuren.
Minutes
Minutes of the October 28th meeting were approved as read.
Correspondence
Correspondence received and -sent can be found on"the attached sheets.
Old Business
1. Physical Qualifying Test for Firefighter." Chief VanKuren expressed his
concern over -the twenty candidate limit for the Firefighter's physical
qualifying test. He pointed out to Commission members that not all twenty
candidates would show up for the examination and of those who did take the
test, there could be some who would not pass. Because of these two factors,
the number remaining could be insufficient to fulfill the employment needs
over the next two years. Responding to the chief's concerns, the Commission
directed the Secretary to order tests for the, top 30 candidates rather than
20. Mrs. Bahas announced the scheduled test date on Saturday, -.January 22,
1983 at the North Olmsted High School Gymnasium' -at' 3 00 P ',M: , ( n4dda.tes
would be required to present medical and/or legal waivepr
r forms.ior;,to
participation.
New Business
1.
