CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION <br />FW NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />•EMOMP <br />CIVIL SERVICE MEETING: JUNE 26, 1990 <br />PRESENT: Commissioners - Robert Wendt, Henry Robinson <br />Secretary - Tracy Ice <br />GUESTS: Safety Director - Ernest Gundy, Personnel and Administrative <br />Services Director - Ron Wilamosky <br />MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING APPROVED AS READ. <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />All four fire'dispatcher.positions have been filled. .Since there is <br />not enough candidates left on the present dispatcher list, we will <br />need to give.one dispatcher test for both the -fire and police departments. <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />The Civil Service.Secretary had received sample tests from other testing <br />companies for the secretary.and dispatcher positions. After review of <br />-these tests, the commission decided to stay with 'McCann and Associates <br />Testing Company when giving the above tests. <br />A Secretary II best has been requested by Mr. Kline of the North Olmsted <br />School Board (Personnel Department). The commission hopes to be able to <br />give the test by mid-August 1990. <br />The commissioners decided to run the ad for the secretarial position in <br />the Sun Newspapers, Call and Post and E1 Nuevo. Dia newspapers. There will <br />be no fee for the applicants for this position. Tracy Ice will process <br />the building permit and then circulate the ad for approval (by the <br />appropriate people) and then hopefully the ad will run in the newspaper <br />by the third week of July. <br />Since there needs to be another dispatcher test done, the civil service <br />commission will try and run the test also in August at the North Olmsted <br />High School. <br />Mayor Boyle hopes. -to have another commissioner on board by the end of July. <br />Ron Wilamosky, Personnel and Administrative Services Director, advised the <br />commission that we may need to give a clerical -test for the police department <br />also this year. <br />
