All Fire Entry Level Agility results went out on May 21, 1996. . _ . Fire Promotional'Writ..ten....Lieu-tenant's Exam. At our "last, meeting, Mr. Prebis and:Mr�. Power spoke on how they felt that the seniority points should be: added in, after the written .,part,;of the exam. instead of after both the,�writtenand oral. At .,that time,Mr. Hines said that he wanted to speak tQ, the. -:Law Department and then make a decision at our next meeting.'` Mr. Hines has now spoke to the�Law=Department. The Law Department said that the way our rules are written that they can be interpreted either way. Therefore, we should add the points in after the written exam. Prior to our meeting, we added the written scores and the seniority and evaluations points together from all of the candidates who took the written exam. We found that if Mr. Prebis received 1000 on the oral exam., that the highest rank which he could receive would be 3rd. When there is a need to hire more than two of the candidates, then the remaining 5 candidates will be retested on the oral part of the exam. The Commission feels that it would be best to retest all candidates with the same questions, same chiefs and on the same day. Letters will be sent to those 5 candidates advising them of this change.
