CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />"TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!" <br />SPECIAL CIVIL SERVICE MEETING <br />JULY 7, 2004 <br />MINUTES <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairwoman R. Giesser called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. <br />PRESENT: Chairwoman R. Giesser, Board members M. Ubaldi and W. Hohmann. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Civil Service Secretary D. Rote. <br />U. DISPOSITION OF MINUTES: <br />The Civil Service minutes dated June 23, 2004 have been submitted for approval. <br />R. Giesser moved to approve the June 23, 2004 Civil Service minutes as written. M. Ubaldi <br />seconded the motion which was unanimously approved. <br />III. CORRESPONDENCE: <br />There were 2 pieces of correspondence received and 30 copies of the Civil Service Handbook <br />were distributed. <br />Commissioners reviewed that one of the correspondences received was a copy of a firefighter's <br />letter stating he was accepting a disability retirement effective 6/28/04. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />1. Establish date Firefighter/Paramedic examination will be conducted. <br />A brief discussion regarding the previous motion for dates selected to administer the Firefighter <br />examination and the clerk finding that none of the dates selected were available due to <br />Homecoming preparation bookings. <br />R. Giesser moved to set the Firefighter/Paramedic examination date for August 19, 2004 at 7:00 <br />p.m. and that the August 19, 2004 date is to be incorporated into all the documentation for <br />administering the examination i.e. ads and applications. M. Ubaldi seconded the motion which <br />was unanimously approved. <br />V. NEW BUSINESS: <br />VI.
