I. II. IV. CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING MAYOR'S CONFERENCE ROOM MINUTES - MARCH 20, 2006 7:00 P.M. ROLL CALL: Chairman M. Ubaldi called the meeting to order at 7:15 pm PRESENT: M. Ubaldi, W. Hohmann, and K. Zolar ALSO PRESENT: Assistant Law Director B. O'Malley, Civil Service Secretary D. Eccleston DISPOSITION OF MINUTES: The Civil Service minutes dated February 27, 2006 have been submitted for approval. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to accept the minutes as submitted. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. COMMUNICATIONS: There were 8 items of correspondence received and no items of correspondence sent out by the Civil Service Commission. Mr. Ubaldi indicated that the Commission received a survey from the City of Lakewood Civil Service Commission. Mr. Mr. O'Malley indicated this is public information. Mr. Ubaldi informed Mrs. Eccleston to send the completed survey. OLD BUSINESS: Approve the Civil Service Rules and Regulations Manual Mr. Ubaldi indicated that the Civil Service Rules and Regulations manual are ready to be distributed. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to approve the Civil Service Rules and Regulations manual for distribution. Ms. Zolar seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. O'Malley suggested distributing the new dated handbook. A general discussion followed concerning the individual rule revised dates and list of classification designations. The distribution of the handbook should go to all Directors and Department Heads with a short memo to discard the old handbook. V. NEW BUSINESS: Remove Kirt Strahinic (took a job in North Ridgeville) from the Firefighters Entry -Level Eligibility List and certify the next name Pursuant to Rule VII, Section 8, c of the North Olmsted Civil Service Rules and Regulations manual, Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to remove Kirt Strahinic from the Firefighter Entry -Level Eligibility List. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved.
