11 <br />IV. <br />NO <br />? <br />LG <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL CAUCUS ROOM <br />MINUTES — JANUARY 26, 2009 <br />7:00 P.M. <br />ROLL CALL: Chairman M. Ubaldi called the meeting to order at 7:07 p.m. <br />PRESENT: M. Ubaldi, B. Hohmann, and K. Zolar <br />ALSO PRESENT: Civil Service Secretary D. Eccleston <br />DISPOSITION OF MINUTES: <br />The Civil Service minutes dated December 15, 2008 have been submitted for approval. <br />The Chairman indicated that the Commission has minutes from the December meeting and the <br />minutes from the special meeting will take some time to transcribe. <br />Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to accept the minutes as submitted. Mr. Hohmann seconded the <br />motion and unanimously approved. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />There were 18 items of correspondence received and 4 items of correspondence sent out by the <br />Civil Service Commission. <br />The Assistant Law Director approved the Order and Findings form for Todd Kirkpatrick's appeal. A <br />general discussion commenced regarding the language "disaffirmed" and questioned to cross out <br />the language and insert "denied." The Chairman indicated to follow legal counsel's advice, approve <br />the Order and Findings form, and include the above stated comment in the minutes. <br />Mr. Ubaldi made a motion that the Commission approve the "Order and Findings" and that <br />the appeal be denied and a copy sent to the parties involved. Mr. Hohmann seconded the <br />motion and unanimously approved. <br />Rules and Regulations Handbook <br />V.
