c+ CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING CITY COUNCIL CAUCUS ROOM MINUTES - JANUARY 25, 2010 7:30 P.M. I. ROLL CALL: Chairman M. Ubaldi called the meeting to order at 7:28 p.m. PRESENT: M. Ubaldi and K. Zolar ALSO PRESENT: Human Resources Director C. Farver, Assistant Law Director B. O'Malley, Civil Service Secretary D. Eccleston II. DISPOSITION OF MINUTES: The Civil Service minutes dated November 16, 2009 have been submitted for approval. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to approve the minutes as submitted. Ms. Zolar seconded and unanimously approved. III. COMMUNICATIONS: There were 2 items of correspondence received and 1 item of correspondence sent out by the Civil Service Commission. The Commission received information from Barrett & Associates testing company; the Commission is satisfied with their current testing company. The Law Department provided an Order & Findings document regarding the abolishment of the Custodial Supervisor position at Springvale. The Chairman affirmed the Order & Findings document. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to accept and affirm the Order & Findings document for the abolishment of the Custodial Supervisor position at Springvale. Ms. Zolar seconded the motion and unanimously approved. IV. OLD BUSINESS: V. NEW BUSINESS: Designation of Officers Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to remain as Chairman and designate Ms. Zolar as Vice Chairman. Ms. Zolar seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Rule XI, Section 3, abolishment of a position, has been amended and will now be apart of the rule book. At this time, the third Commissioner has not been appointed yet and the Commission understands that the Mayor is eager to fill this position.
