LANDMARKS COMMISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MINUTES FOR MEETING OF MARCH 9, 2020 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Mr. Neville called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm in Council Chambers. <br />Present: David Neville, Elizabeth Cardarelli, Tom Dubowski, Jim Morse, James Gearhart, <br />Gretchen Schuler, Duane Limpert <br />Absent: Sarah Egan -Reeves, Mr. Schumann <br />Staff: Planning and Community Development Director Kim Lieber, Planner Maria Levanoff, <br />Administrative Assistant Nicole Rambo -Ackerman <br />Mr. Dubowski moved, seconded by Mr. Gearhart, to excuse the absence of Ms. Egan - <br />Reeves and Mr. Schumann, motion passed 7-0. <br />REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Ms. Cardarelli moved, seconded by Mr. Dubowski, to approve the Landmarks Commission <br />minutes of January 13, 2020, motion passed 7-0. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />Historic District Updates <br />Ms. Lieber described the postcard to be sent to the Historic District regarding recent updates. <br />The goal is to lead residents to the Commission's webpage with the Design Guidelines, updated <br />code section and COA information. A QR code is included which will take people directly to the <br />Landmarks Commission page. Info about the Heritage Home Program information session in <br />May was also included. <br />Mr. Dubowski moved, seconded by Ms. Schuler, to approve and send the informational <br />postcard to the Historic District residents, motion passed 7-0. <br />2019 Year in Review <br />The report has been formatted into a newsletter template with photos. Discussion on whether to <br />include the images of the newspaper headlines on the second page, but the Commission decide to <br />leave them in the report. <br />Mr. Morse moved, seconded by Mr. Dubowski, to approve the 2019 Year in Review, <br />motion passed 7-0. <br />Training Opportunities <br />Ms. Levanoff reviewed the proposed training topics that are offered through the Ohio History <br />Connection at no cost because of the Commission is a Certified Local Government. Mr. Neville <br />thought community engagement would be a good topic, Ms. Schuler agreed. Mr. Morse thought <br />it would helpful to learn how to get information about underrepresented groups in the <br />
