PLANNING & DESIGN COMMISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MINUTES OF JANUARY 27, 2021 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Ms. Nader called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm via online public meeting. <br />Present: Julie Nader, Dave Anderson, Tom Patton, Darrick Matthews, Paul Schumann <br />Absent: Greg Malone, Humberto Olivos <br />Staff. Planning Director Kim Lieber, Assistant Law Director Bryan O'Malley, City Engineer <br />Pietro DiFranco <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />Ms. Nader moved, seconded by Mr. Anderson, to approve the Planning & Design <br />Commission minutes of November 11, 2020, motion passed 5-0. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />21-18370; Ron Sabatula; 5166 Whitethorn Avenue <br />Representative: Ron Sabatula, owner <br />Proposal consists of consolidating two parcels (PPN 235-02-054 and -055), one with a house and <br />one vacant, creating a single 0.2443 -acre parcel. Parcels are zoned B -One Family Residence. <br />Ms. Lieber did not object to the consolidation because the lots are similarly zoned and result in a <br />conforming lot. Mr. DiFranco also recommended approval, Mr. Schumann agreed. <br />Ms. Nader moved, seconded by Mr. Anderson, to approve 21-18370; Ron Sabatula; 5166 <br />Whitethorn Avenue, to consolidate two parcels (PPN 235-02-054 and -055), resulting in a <br />single 0.2443 -acre parcel, motion passed 5-0. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />2015 Master Plan <br />Ms. Lieber said the 2020 annual report was put on the back burner due to the pandemic. A mini - <br />refresh of the Master Plan with the Master Plan consultant was budgeted to review and <br />reprioritize action items, but was unable to move forward. She suggested doing an internal audit <br />to create an updated plan of action before the next master plan update begins in 2024. She <br />suggested using a couple scheduled meetings to discuss different action agenda areas with the <br />Commission. Ms. Nader thought it would be best to have the entire Commission to review all of <br />the action items together, Mr. Anderson, Mr. Matthews and Mr. Patton agreed. Mr. Schumann <br />thought the economic development section would be the largest discussion because the next few <br />years may be challenging. <br />Zoning Updates <br />The BZD Committee of Council passed the chicken coop ordinance with amendments at their <br />
