CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL CAUCUS ROOM <br />MINUTES - JULY 15, 2024 <br />7:00 P.M. <br />I. ROLL CALL: Chair called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. <br />PRESENT: A. Flannery, J. Cotofan, T. Fratini <br />ALSO PRESENT: Employment Specialist D. Fusco, Human Resources Director L. Kidd, and <br />HR Administrative Secretary D. Eccleston <br />II. DISPOSITION OF MINUTES: <br />Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Cotofan to approve the minutes of <br />May 20, 2024. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />III. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />There were 6 items of correspondence received and no items of correspondence sent out by the <br />Civil.Service Commission. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />Police Officer Entry -Level Eligible List <br />The Commission received a voluntary removal letter from original rank #24. The Administration <br />has hired original rank #2, Anthony Smerk and his date of hire will be on August 12, 2024 and <br />original rank #20, Grant Junkins is in the hiring process. <br />Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Cotofan to remove original rank <br />#24 from the Police Officer Entry -Level Eligible List due to a voluntary removal. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Police Officer Lateral Transfer Eligible List <br />The Commission received four (4) voluntary removal letters from the following: original rank #1, <br />original rank #7, original rank #11, and original rank #18 from the Police Officer Lateral Transfer <br />Eligible List. The Administration has hired original rank #6, Brandon Barda and his date of hire <br />was June 18, 2024; original rank #9, Adam Morris and his hire date of hire was July 1, 2024; and <br />original rank #15, Daniel Ortiz and his hire date will be July 22, 2024. <br />Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Cotofan to remove original rank <br />#1, original rank #7, original rank #11 and original rank #18 from the Police Officer Lateral <br />Transfer Eligible List due to voluntary removals. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />
