They
should be flush placed on rear-facing roofs or in an invisible location on the ground.
Mr.Dubowski stated that since the solar panels will be installed on the garage roof in the rear yard,
it appears to be OK. Mr.Neville also, agreed that adding solar panels on the garage roof will not
affect the house's historical character. Mr. Morse suggested that it is preferable to limit the
appropriateness of installing the solar panel on the roof to this property and only for the garage,
rather than the house. Mr. O'Malley agreed to include these terms in the Certificate of
Appropriateness. Mrs. Parsipour continued by stating that the North Olmsted ordinance only
discusses the height, position, and coverage of solar panels.
Mr. Morse moved, Mr. Dubowski seconded, to limit the certificate of appropriateness for
installing the solar panel or the garage roof of 27010 Butternut Ridge Road to only the garage
roof itself; motion passed 8-0.
22-22822; Hooshang Sheikhi; 25896 Butternut Ridge Road
1
