If it can be proved that the applicant's participation is required by the
Commission,the case can be tabled.
To begin,Ms.Parsipour explained that the proposal included building a new garage in a different
position that is visible from the street. The previous garage will be demolished. The property is
located at 26885 Butternut Ridge Road, and that is located at A-one family residence district. The
new garage complies with the setback ordinance and accessory uses ordinance in this zone. The
historic design guidelines advise against using aluminum and vinyl siding on top of already-used
historic materials, however,in this case, the major building's exterior walls are vinyl and aluminum
and accessory structures, including garages, are subordinate in size and detail to it. Ms. Shuler
asked about the old garage material. Ms. Parsipour answered that there was nor any information
in this regard.Mr.Dubowski mentioned that changing the location of the garage, visible from the
street is questionable. Ms. Eager-Reeves asked if the application could be tabled till the
commission can get clarification from the applicant and someone give Nancy a bulleted list of the
questions that the commission members had. Mr. Morse mentioned the questions as following:
why the applicant wants to destroy the old garage and why the placement of the new garage would
be different.
