LANDMARKS COMMISSION <br /> CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br /> MINUTES OF March 10,2025 <br /> 7:00 PM <br /> Mr.Neville called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM via an online meeting. <br /> Present: David Neville, Mark Madden, Sarah Egan-Reeves <br /> Absent: Tom Dubowski, Gretchen Schuler <br /> Staff: City Planner Nahid Parsipour, Economic and Community Development Coordinator, <br /> Assistant Law Director Bryan O'Malley <br /> Mr.Madden moved,seconded by Ms.Egan-Reeves,to excuse the absences of Mr.Dubowski <br /> and Ms. Schuler. The motion passed 3-0. <br /> SELECTION OF CHAIR <br /> Mr.Neville stated that he would like to be considered. Ms. Egan Reeves motion, seconded by Mr. <br /> Madden. Motion carried. <br /> SELECTION OF VICE CHAIR <br /> Ms. Egan-Reeves volunteered to resume position. Mr. Neville motioned, Madden seconded. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Ms. Egan-Reeves moved, seconded by Mr. Madden, to approve the October 10, 2024 <br /> Landmarks Commission minutes. The motion was approved 3-0. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 24-PLAN-000238; City of North Olmsted-3186 Dover Center Road <br /> Proposal consists of ADA and accessibility modifications to Old Town Hall, a city owned <br /> building. Steve Holowicki, City of North Olmsted staff from the project,was present at the <br /> meeting to discuss the project. <br /> Mr. Holowicki discussed the Architectural Assessment and Preservation Plan that was completed <br /> by Hardlines Design and distributed to the commission. Holowicki also discussed the proposed <br /> accessibility upgrades on the old Town, primarily removing the existing ramp, and replacing the <br /> rear stairway to the north with a limited use elevator that is ADA accessible. An architectural <br /> assessment and comprehensive preservation plan was completed by Hardlines Design Co, an <br /> architectural firm from Columbus and chosen by the selection committee in August of 2024. <br /> Holowicki remarked that the city code references that the landmarks commission reviews and <br /> approves both locally protected resources as well as National Register listings. The work being <br /> done will include waterproofing, tuckpointing, historically accurate replacement windows, new <br /> HVAC systems, a removal of the exterior stairwell to the western elevation, the removal of the <br /> exterior wheelchair ramp that was is not ADA compliant and a rebuild of the exterior southwest <br /> 1 <br />
