O'Malley <br /> Susan Begin <br /> The meeting opened at 6:30 <br /> Review current membership status/terms, current&proposed members. <br /> • Janelle Zauner resigned from the Arts Commission for Personal Reasons. <br /> • Shaun McGrath resigned, his wife accepted a new position in Philadelphia,they moved <br /> in late December. <br /> • Susan Begin mentioned that she had met someone very interested in joining the NOAC <br /> with a theater background,we asked that she contact them, and send Reick and I the <br /> information if they are still interested. <br /> Approval of November 2022 minutes. <br /> • Vote to dispense with the reading and approve at a later date was approved <br /> Review of the Christmas Light Competition <br /> • Everyone was impressed by the number of residents entering the competition <br /> • Suggestions include: <br /> o Use yard signs with unique QR Codes for registered residents <br /> • Invite businesses to sponsor the event,with the business included on <br /> signs and promotional material. <br /> o Use social media/web app to allow residents to vote for favorites <br /> o Have the assigned judges decide winners from the top 10 community favorites. <br /> 2023 brainstorming <br /> • Roger Coast Day—a Day recognizing the N.O. Artist <br /> o NO Community Council has signed lithographs available to sell. (Featuring the <br /> City of North Olmsted, may have a limited appeal) <br /> o Use as an art show or art sale <br /> • Locations: Homecoming big tent or Senior Center <br /> • Allow students to show/sell artwork <br /> • Have music (quartet) play during the event <br /> • Feature vendors in conjunction with the West Side Flee Market <br /> • Use it as a starting template for a juried art show <br />
