North Olmsted Arts Commission Meeting <br /> Minutes —Tuesday, July 18, 2023 <br /> 6:30 p.m. <br /> Old Town Hall <br /> In attendance: Ken Srail, Susan Begin, Bryan O'Malley, Keith Behrendt, Lori Kershner, <br /> Nahid Parsipour, Rick Haase. <br /> Absent: Becky Tesar, Tahani Mousa. <br /> The meeting was called to order at 6:33 p.m. by NOAC President Behrendt. <br /> Minutes of the June 20, 2023 Meeting were approved. <br /> Per the request of the group at its June 2023 meeting, demographic information on the <br /> City of North Olmsted, provided by Director of Economic and Community Development <br /> Max Upton, was shared NOAC members. <br /> Continuing discussion was held regarding the upcoming August 25 Homecoming Art <br /> Show and Sale in the "Big Tent." The event will take place from 6-10 p.m. NOAC <br /> members agreed to arrive at 5 p.m. to assist with set-up on the day of the event. <br /> A discussion about artists ensued, and Sue Begin said that currently five artists are <br /> signed up to participate. She is hoping to have 12 registered in time for the event. She <br /> also agreed to serve as the keeper of the registrant list. <br /> A discussion about rules and regulations for the registration form took place. Members <br /> agreed that it will state that the North Olmsted Community Council reserves the right to <br /> reject any artwork that is deemed not family-friendly or inappropriate. <br /> Lighting at the event was also discussed in order to make the tent and artwork more <br /> appealing. Bryan O'Malley said he will bring in some additional lighting from home to <br /> augment what is already there, as did Ken Srail. <br /> The Commission's next meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at <br /> Old Town Hall, when any last-minute details regarding the August 25 event will be <br /> handled. <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 7:25 p.m. <br />
