CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br /> CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING <br /> CITY COUNCIL CAUCUS ROOM <br /> MINUTES-JANUARY 26, 2026 <br /> 7:00 P.M. <br /> ROLL CALL: Chair called the meeting to order at 7:06 p.m. <br /> PRESENT: A. Flannery,J. Cotofan, T.Fratini <br /> ALSO PRESENT: Human Resources Director L. Kidd,Public Safety Director Jennifer Scofield, <br /> and HR Administrative Secretary J. Davenport <br /> II. DISPOSITION OF MINUTES: <br /> Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Fratini to approve the minutes of <br /> December 15, 2026. <br /> Motion passed unanimously. <br /> III. COMMUNICATIONS: <br /> There were 36 items of correspondence received and 17 items of correspondence sent out by the <br /> Civil Service Commission. <br /> Chairperson Amy Flannery wanted to make note that this was a virtual meeting due to weather. <br /> IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Firefighter/Paramedic Entry—Level Exam <br /> The Commission was presented with the Firefighter Entry Level Eligible list. There were 72 <br /> candidates that took the test, 44 passed, 16 failed,and 12 were disqualified. The disqualified <br /> gandidates didnot have their drivers license and/ot high school diploma uploaded onto NTN. There <br /> were also 2 ties within the list. Per rule 4 section 2, in both instances neither of the two candidates <br /> were veterans and the person who applied first won the tie. The list will be effective for one year— <br /> January 26,2027. <br /> Motion by Commissioner Flannery,seconded by Commissioner Fratini to certify the Firefighter/ <br /> Paramedic Entry Level Eligible List. <br /> Motion passed unanimously. <br /> Commission Secretary added that all candidates that passed and are on the eligible list scored over <br /> 80% . Per rule 8 section 1 a., the Commission shall direct HR to release the names of either 75%of <br /> total applicants, all applicants scoring over 80%, or whichever is greater. <br /> Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Fratini to release all names on the <br /> Firefighter/Paramedic Entry level Eligible list to the appointing authority. <br /> V. NEW BUSINESS: <br />
