CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING CITY COUNCIL CAUCUS ROOM MINUTES-JANUARY 26, 2026 7:00 P.M. ROLL CALL: Chair called the meeting to order at 7:06 p.m. PRESENT: A. Flannery,J. Cotofan, T.Fratini ALSO PRESENT: Human Resources Director L. Kidd,Public Safety Director Jennifer Scofield, and HR Administrative Secretary J. Davenport II. DISPOSITION OF MINUTES: Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Fratini to approve the minutes of December 15, 2026. Motion passed unanimously. III. COMMUNICATIONS: There were 36 items of correspondence received and 17 items of correspondence sent out by the Civil Service Commission. Chairperson Amy Flannery wanted to make note that this was a virtual meeting due to weather. IV. OLD BUSINESS: Firefighter/Paramedic Entry—Level Exam The Commission was presented with the Firefighter Entry Level Eligible list. There were 72 candidates that took the test, 44 passed, 16 failed,and 12 were disqualified. The disqualified gandidates didnot have their drivers license and/ot high school diploma uploaded onto NTN. There were also 2 ties within the list. Per rule 4 section 2, in both instances neither of the two candidates were veterans and the person who applied first won the tie. The list will be effective for one year— January 26,2027. Motion by Commissioner Flannery,seconded by Commissioner Fratini to certify the Firefighter/ Paramedic Entry Level Eligible List. Motion passed unanimously. Commission Secretary added that all candidates that passed and are on the eligible list scored over 80% . Per rule 8 section 1 a., the Commission shall direct HR to release the names of either 75%of total applicants, all applicants scoring over 80%, or whichever is greater. Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Fratini to release all names on the Firefighter/Paramedic Entry level Eligible list to the appointing authority. V. NEW BUSINESS:
