PLANNING & DESIGN COMMISSION
CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED
MEETING MINUTES OF APRIL 22, 2026
ROLL CALL
Mr. David called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m.
Present: Tom David, Jose Leon, Tony D'Alessandro, Jen Kalin
Absent: Rosie Hamdan,
Staff: Director Michiel Wackers, Assistant Director of Law Bryan O'Malley, City Engineer Jeff
Filarski, Admin. Assistant Lyn Wilson
NEW BUSINESS
420-2026; Jeep; 27500 Lorain Rd.
The Planning and Design Commission reviewed Case No. 420-2026 for the proposed
consolidation of parcels at 27500 Lorain Road associated with the Jeep property. Engineering
reported that the proposal involved combining a 1.1 -acre parcel with the existing 4.3 -acre parcel
for future parking expansion and recommended approval contingent upon County approval of the
plat and minor revisions to the document language. Legal counsel explained that the
Commission's review was limited to lot consolidation standards, including frontage and lot area
conformity, and not future development of the property. Questions were raised regarding
ownership of the parcels, zoning compatibility, and whether the request involved any future site
development, with staff confirming the request was solely for lot consolidation purposes. A
nearby resident expressed concerns regarding potential future paving and development, and it
was clarified that any future site improvements would require separate review by the
Commission.
Mr. David made a motion to approve 420-2026; Jeep; 27500 Lorain Rd., conditioned upon
County approval; seconded by Mr. Leon.
Motion passed: 4-0
ADJOURNMENT
Ms. Hamdan's absence was excused by the commission.
With no further business before the board, the meeting adjourned at 7:14 p.m.
Tom David, Chair
Approved: (4'/!0 624 %G
ii'(4Jk
Lyn Wilson, Administrative Assistant
