CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005 -187 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A <br />RENEWED ONE -YEAR SERVICE CONTRACT, FOR THE TERM <br />JANUARY 1, 2006 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2006, WITH TAC <br />COMPUTER INC., IN ORDER TO PROVIDE MAINTENANCE AND <br />REPAIR SERVICES FOR VARIOUS COMPUTER HARDWARE AND <br />SOFTWARE AT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY, AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, the City's current contract with TAC Computer Inc., providing <br />maintenance and repair services for certain computer hardware and software at the Police <br />Department, expires on December 31, 2005; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Chief of Police that said contract be <br />renewed for the year 2006; and <br />WHEREAS, it is not necessary to competitively bid said contract because the <br />expenditures to be made under the proposed renewed contract will not exceed $25,000.00; and <br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter <br />into a renewed service contract for a one -year period with TAC Computer Inc. to provide the <br />support services for the Police Department set forth above; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into a renewed <br />one -year contract with TAC Computer Inc., for the term January 1, 2006 through December <br />31, 2006, in order to provide maintenance and repair service for the Police Department Dell <br />Pentium server, 24 Gig digital data backup system, CRIS Upload Interface, MDT Interface, <br />CAD /RMS software, 2003 server support, and Sonicwall. The new contract shall be in the <br />form and substance of the attached three -page "Flat Rate Service Agreement," marked as <br />Exhibit A and attached hereto, with only such changes to be hereinafter made as are not <br />substantially adverse to the City and which are approved by the Director of Law. The <br />character of any such changes as not being substantially adverse to the City shall be evidenced <br />conclusively by the execution of the Agreement by the Mayor and the approval of the <br />Agreement by the Director of Law. <br />
