CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2005 —132 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady and Council Member Gareau <br />AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE OFFICIAL NAME OF <br />THE DEPARTMENT OF PERSONNEL AND <br />ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES, AS CREATED AND <br />ESTABLISHED IN CHAPTER 167 OF THE CODIFIED <br />ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, TO <br />THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES. <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Personnel and Administrative Services was created and <br />established by this Council in 1978 by the adoption of Ordinance No. 78 -31, as codified, and <br />amended from time to time, at Chapter 167 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North <br />Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council, acting pursuant to the provisions of Article XVI of the Charter, <br />has recently changed the official name of the Department of Human Resources to the Department <br />of Community Services to more accurately reflect the mission of that City Department; and <br />WHEREAS, it is now the desire of this Council to similarly change the official name of <br />the Department of Personnel and Administrative Services to the Department of Human Resources <br />to more accurately reflect the mission of this City Department; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the official name of Department of Personnel and Administrative <br />Services, as established and created at Chapter 167 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of <br />North Olmsted be and hereby is changed to the Department of Human Resources. <br />SECTION 2: That all ordinances, or parts of ordinances, inconsistent or in conflict with <br />this Ordinance, are, to the extent of such inconsistency or conflict, repealed. <br />SECTION 3: That the Clerk of Council provide a fully- attested copy of this Ordinance <br />to the City's official codification service, with instruction that all references in the City's <br />Codified Ordinances to the former Department of Personnel and Administrative Services be <br />corrected in the City's next annual recodification of its Ordinances. <br />
