CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION 2005 —128 <br />BY: Mayor Thomas E. O'Grady <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SUBMIT AN <br />APPLICATION FOR STATE OF OHIO ISSUE 2 INFRASTRUCTURE <br />BOND PROGRAM FUNDING FOR GESSNER ROAD WATER MAIN <br />REPLACEMENT AND STORM SEWER CONSTRUCTION FROM <br />COLUMBIA ROAD TO WALTER ROAD AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Gessner Road is a county road located within the boundaries of the City of <br />North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, The City of North Olmsted is desirous of making application to the State of <br />Ohio for Issue 2 funding in connection with the water main replacement and storm sewer <br />construction on Gessner Road; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to submit an application <br />to the Ohio Public Works Commission for Issue 2 funding for Gessner Road water main <br />replacement and storm sewer construction in connection with the Project; and to execute all <br />documents and do all things necessary in furtherance thereof. <br />SECTION 2: That, if such application is approved, it is the intent of this Council to pay <br />for this City's portion of the costs in connection with such project therewith. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that the preparation and submission of the application for funding is immediately <br />necessary in order to meet the deadline for Issue 2 applications; and further provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two - thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
