CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005 - -127 <br />BY: Mayor Thomas E. O'Grady <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SUBMIT AN <br />APPLICATION FOR STATE OF OHIO ISSUE 2 INFRASTRUCTURE <br />BOND PROGRAM FUNDING FOR GREAT NORTHERN BOULEVARD <br />RECONSTRUCTION FROM NOMBL LANE TO COUNTRY CLUB <br />BOULEVARD AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Great Northern Boulevard is a State Route (S.R. 252) located within the <br />boundaries of the City of North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, The Ohio Department of Transportation and the City of North Olmsted are <br />desirous of making application to the State of Ohio for Issue 2 funding in connection with the <br />reconstruction of Great Northern Boulevard; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has agreed with the Ohio Department of <br />Transportation to make application to the State of Ohio for Issue 2 funding on behalf of the Ohio <br />Department of Transportation and the City of North Olmsted, in connection with the Great <br />Northern Boulevard Reconstruction Project; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to submit an application <br />to the Ohio Public Works Commission for Issue 2 funding for Great Northern Boulevard <br />reconstruction in connection with the Project; and to execute all documents and do all things <br />necessary in furtherance thereof. <br />SECTION 2: That, if such application is approved, it is the intent of this Council to pay <br />for this City's portion of the costs in connection with such project therewith. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that the preparation and submission of the application for funding is immediately <br />necessary in order to meet the deadline for Issue 2 applications; and further provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two - thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
