CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005 - 123 <br />By: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER <br />INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE <br />FY 2001 STATE DOMESTIC PREPAREDNESS EQUIPMENT <br />PROGRAM AND TO ACCEPT GRANT FUNDS AND /OR <br />EQUIPMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted is a participant in the State Domestic Preparedness <br />Equipment Program, and continued participation in the program and continued possession of <br />certain equipment received in said Program is conditioned upon the execution of an Agreement <br />with the Board of Cuyahoga County Commissioners, entitled Agreement for FY 2001 State <br />Domestic Preparedness Equipment Program; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO. <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with <br />the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners, entitled Agreement for FY 2001 State Domestic <br />Preparedness Equipment Program. No copy of the Agreement is attached, because the Office of <br />the County Prosecutor has instructed the City Administration that information contained in the <br />Agreement is not public and should not be made public by the City. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the <br />further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately in order to insure <br />that North Olmsted Safety Forces are protected at the earliest available date against potential <br />threats and /or acts of terrorism; and further provided that it receives the affirmative vote of two - <br />thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage <br />and approval by the Mayor. <br />
