CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2005 - 123 By: Mayor O'Grady A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE FY 2001 STATE DOMESTIC PREPAREDNESS EQUIPMENT PROGRAM AND TO ACCEPT GRANT FUNDS AND /OR EQUIPMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted is a participant in the State Domestic Preparedness Equipment Program, and continued participation in the program and continued possession of certain equipment received in said Program is conditioned upon the execution of an Agreement with the Board of Cuyahoga County Commissioners, entitled Agreement for FY 2001 State Domestic Preparedness Equipment Program; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO. SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners, entitled Agreement for FY 2001 State Domestic Preparedness Equipment Program. No copy of the Agreement is attached, because the Office of the County Prosecutor has instructed the City Administration that information contained in the Agreement is not public and should not be made public by the City. SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately in order to insure that North Olmsted Safety Forces are protected at the earliest available date against potential threats and /or acts of terrorism; and further provided that it receives the affirmative vote of two - thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
