CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005 - 92 <br />By: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE LANDMARKS <br />COMMISSION TO APPLY TO THE OHIO HISTORIC <br />PRESERVATION OFFICE FOR CERTIFIED LOCAL <br />GOVERNMENT STATUS THROUGH THE OHIO CLG <br />PROGRAM. <br />WHEREAS, the CLG Program is a Federal /State /Local partnership that enables eligible <br />communities to conduct various historic preservation- related activities in cooperation with the Ohio <br />Historic Preservation Office and the US Department of the Interior; and <br />WHEREAS, CLG status allows communities to apply for matching grants for a variety of <br />historic purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the City Landmarks Commission to <br />apply to the Ohio Historic Preservation Office for Certified Local Government status through Ohio's <br />CLG Program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Landmarks Commission be and is hereby authorized to apply to the <br />Ohio Historic Preservation Office for Certified Local Government status through Ohio's CLG <br />Program to enable the City to apply for matching grants for a variety of historic purposes. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest <br />period allowed y law. <br />PASSED: tAl , ©f' <br />ATTEST: <br />r <br />!BARBARA L.
