CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005 – 69 <br />BY: Mayor Thomas E. O'Grady <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE <br />TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR 5,000 TONS OF ASPHALT AND TACK <br />COATING FOR VARIOUS STREETS IN THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, AS PER SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE IN HIS OFFICE, AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, SUBJECT TO APPROVAL BY THE BOARD <br />OF CONTROL, IF NECESSARY, TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR <br />SAME AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the bid specifications, as prepared by the Director of Public Service, are on <br />file with the City of North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor, upon approval of the <br />Board of Control, if necessary, to enter into a contract for 5,000 tons of asphalt and tack coating <br />for various streets in the City of North Olmsted. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for 5,000 tons of asphalt and tack coating for various streets in the City of <br />North Olmsted, according to plans and specifications now on file in his office, and further that, <br />upon approval by the Board of Control, if necessary, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into <br />a contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the <br />further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately to provide for the <br />City's asphalt and tack coating requirements, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote <br />of two - thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: / 91 a-06"s— First Reading: -Z; ,1 `/1 e's <br />Second Reading: S / j O's� <br />A ST. <br />BARBARA L.
