CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2005 - 26 <br />BY: Council Member Dailey <br />AN ORDINANCE CREATING NEW SECTION 139.13 OF CHAPTER <br />139 OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE ENTITLED <br />"DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY" FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />CREATING A NEW POSITION OF "ASSISTANT <br />COURSE /FACILITY MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR" WITHIN THE <br />ORGANIZATIONAL CHART OF THE DIVISION OF SPRING VALE, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Safety and the Springvale Facilities Manager <br />have recommended that this Council amend the City's organizational chart in order to <br />create a new position in the Division of Springvale to be known as "Assistant <br />Course/Facility Maintenance Supervisor "; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to follow the recommendation of said <br />City administrative officials and to create the said new non - bargaining unit position <br />within the organizational chart of the Division of Springvale within the Department of <br />Public Safety; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMMTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That there is hereby created new Section 139.13 of the North <br />Olmsted Codified Ordinances, entitled "Department of Public Safety." Said Section <br />139.13, as created, shall read in its entirety as follows: <br />"139.13 ASSISTANT COURSE /FACILITY MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR. <br />There shall be, within the Division of Springvale, a full -time position <br />entitled "Assistant Course/Facility Maintenance Supervisor," appointed by <br />and serving at the pleasure of the Director of Public Safety, under the <br />supervision of the Course/Maintenance Supervisor. The Assistant <br />Course/Facility Maintenance Supervisor shall maintain and improve the <br />grounds and physical plant at Springvale Golf Course and Ballroom as <br />directed by the Course/Maintenance Supervisor. She shall have a four -year <br />or two -year degree in horticulture, agronomy, turf management or related <br />fields; three years experience with increasing responsibilities in the <br />operations and maintenance of a golf course. She shall also be a certified <br />pesticide applicator (or be qualified to obtain such certification), shall <br />have a valid driver's license, and be willing to work flexible hours and <br />weekends. <br />
