Resolution No. 2005 -20 <br />Page 2 <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor and Council of the City of North Olmsted hereby urge <br />Ohio's Congressional delegation to oppose President Bush's proposed job cuts at NASA Glenn <br />Research Center and further take the necessary action to support Representative Dennis Kucinich <br />and the Mayors and Managers Association's Coalition against job cuts at NASA. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council be, and hereby is, directed to forward a fully <br />attested copy of this Resolution upon passage and approval to the President of the United States, <br />NASA's Administrator, Glenn Research Center's Director, and each of the elected Senators and <br />Congressmen in the State of Ohio, as well as all members of the Mayors and Managers <br />Association of Cuyahoga County. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is necessary for this Ordinance to go into effect immediately so it may be <br />transmitted to the government officials mentioned above to make them aware of our concerns <br />over NASA Glenn Research Center and its apparent continued downsizing, and further provided <br />it receives the affirmative vote of two- thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be <br />in force upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />r <br />PASSED: \ ,Z �'' c?
