CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005 - 14 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />Try.. <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A <br />RENEWED MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE <br />CUYAHOGA SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT TO <br />PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />WITH THE PUBLIC EDUCATION AND PUBLIC PARTICIPATION <br />MEASURES FOR ITS EPA PHASE H STORM WATER PROGRAM, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the City has previously entered into a Memorandum of <br />Understanding with the Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation District, which is due to <br />expire on December 31, 2004; and <br />WHEREAS, the Engineering Department desires to continue to promote and <br />participate in activities such as the Rocky River Cleanup Day which will be held on May <br />14, 2005. Coordination for this event will be required several weeks prior to May 24, <br />2005; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to enter into a renewed Memorandum of <br />Understanding with the Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation District to provide <br />assistance to the City with the public education and public participation measures for its <br />EPA Phase II Storm Water Program. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to enter into a renewed <br />Memorandum of Understanding with the Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation District <br />to provide assistance to the City with the public education and public participation <br />measures for its EPA Phase II Storm Water Program, a copy of which is attached hereto <br />as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference, which is in all respects hereby <br />approved. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare, and for the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect <br />immediately so as to continue the provision of service without interruption and to be able <br />
