CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2007 - 142 BY: Mayor O'Grady A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE MA YOR, ON BEHALF OF THE CITY, TO ENTER INTO, EXECUTE AND RENEW AN AGREEMENT WITH THE SOUTHWEST SUBURBAN RETIRED AND SENIOR VOL UNTEER PROGRAM ("RSVP ") FOR THE PURPOSE OF OBTAINING RETIRED AND SENIOR VOLUNTEERS REFERRED B Y RS VP TO ASSIST A T THE NOR TH OLMSTED SENIOR CENTER; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Southwest Suburban Retired and Senior Volunteer Program ("RSVP"), a non-profit organization, presently, pursuant to a memorandum of understanding executed three years ago, refers retired and senior volunteers to provide assistance at the North Olmsted Senior Center; and WHEREAS, RSVP has requested that the City execute a new memorandum of understanding for the next three-year period; and WHEREAS, the Director of Community Life Services has requested that this Council authorize the Mayor to enter into the new memorandum of understanding with RSVP for the purpose of continuing to obtain for the next three years retired and senior volunteers to assist at the North Olmsted Senior Center; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into such a memorandum of understanding with RSVP for the purpose set forth above; NO W THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED B Y THE CO UNCIL OF THE CI T Y OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into and execute an agreement with the Southwest Suburban Retired and Senior Volunteer Program ("RSVP") for the purpose of obtaining retired and senior volunteers referred by RSVP to assist at the North Olmsted Senior Center. The said agreement shall be in the forni of "Memorandum of Understanding between SW Suburban Retired and Senior Volunteer Program ("RSVP") 5855 Smith Road #9, Brook Park, Ohio 44142 (216 676- 6441) and Volunteer Station: North Olmsted Senior Center," attached to this legislation as Exhibit A, with only such different or additional terms and conditiaris therein that are not substantially adverse to the interests of the City of North Olmsted. The character of any sLtch other terms and conditions as not being substantially adverse to the interests of the City of Narth Olmsted shall be evidenced conclusively by the execution of the said Agreement by the Mayor and its approval by the Director of Law.
