<br />Ordinance No. 2007-128 <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Finance be and she hereby is authorized to request <br />proposals from certified public accountants to provide GAAP conversion assistance services in <br />connection with the preparation of the 2007 CAFR, and also, under various requested <br />alternates, for either options or extended contracts for the vears, <br />by-tho--City-, foz r- ?*'?o ° 2008, 2009 and 2010 fepeAs, in accordance with the RFP prepared by the <br />- <br />Director of Finance. A copy of said RFP is attached to this Ordinance as Exhibit A. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized, upon approval of the Board <br />of Control, to enter into an agreement with the professional person or firm selected in the RFP <br />process. Said agreement shall provide for the requested services to be rendered by the selected <br />professional for the preparation of the 2007 CAFR and also, in accordance with the alternate <br />selected bv the Board of Control, for either oqtions or extended contracts for the vears <br />2008, 2009, and 2010, and sliall, in addition, provide for an anv such contract options to be <br />exercised on behalf of the City by the Board of Control upon the recommendation of the Director <br />of Finance <br />, . Said agreement shall further be in a form and <br />substance that is not substantially adverse to the City and which is approved by the Director of <br />Law. The character of any such changes as not being substantially adverse to the City shall be <br />evidenced conclusively by the execution of the agreement by the Mayor and the approval of the <br />agreement by the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />iinmediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare, of this <br />City and for the further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go in effect so that the 2007 <br />CAFR may be timely prepared and implemented; and further provided it receives the affirmative <br />;,ote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />First Reading: le'? <br />Second Reading: 7 <br />Third Reading: ??
