<br />Department with three (3) hours advance notice prior to <br />commencing such work, to the extent reasonably practicable, and <br />shall maintain traffic in compliance with the ODOT Manual of <br />Uniform Traffic Control Devices or other applicable ODOT <br />regulations. <br />(B) Closing of a Public Street. For Routine Maintenance and New <br />Service Orders that require the Service Provider or Contractor to <br />close any Public Street, the Service Provider or Contractor shall <br />provide the Police Department with forty-eight (48) hours advance <br />notice prior to commencing such work, and shall maintain traffic <br />in compliance with the ODOT Manual of Uniform Traffic Control <br />Devices or other applicable ODOT regulations. <br />(3) Notice of Extension of Overhead Facilities. For the relocation or <br />replacement of more than one thousand (1000) lineal feet of a Service <br />Provider's existing Overhead Facilities in the Right-of-Way, the Service <br />Provider or Contractor shall provide the City Engineer with twenty-four <br />(24) hours advance notice. <br />(4) Emergency Work; Commencement and Notice. In the event of the need <br />for any unexpected repair or Emergency work, a Service Provider or <br />Contractor may commence such Emergency response work as required <br />under the circumstances, provided that for Emergency work that requires <br />Excavation of a Right-of-Way, Lane Obstruction described in subsection <br />(2)(A), or closing of a Public Street the Service Provider or Contractor <br />shall notify the Police Department as promptly as possible after <br />commencing such emergency work, but in no event later than twenty-four <br />(24) hours of commencing such wark, if advance notice is not practicable. <br />(b) No Notice of Work Required; Routine Maintenance and New Service Orders. <br />(1) A Service Provider or Contractor need not provide the City with notice, or <br />obtain a Construction Permit, prior to or after commencing Routine <br />Maintenance or New Service Orders that do not include Excavation of a <br />Right-of-Way, a Lane Obstruction described in Section 907.02(a)(2)(A) <br />above or the closing of a Public Street. <br />(2) A Service Provider or Contractor performing Routine Maintenance, New <br />Service Orders or Emergency work shall otherwise comply with the <br />requirements of this Chapter. <br />(c) Work Requiring a Construction Permit. <br />(1) A Service Provider or Contractor shall obtain a Construction Permit as <br />required by Section 902.08(a)(1). <br />(2) Notice of work requiring a Construction Permit shall be given in <br />accordance with Section 902.07(a), or as otherwise required by the <br />Construction Permit. <br />902.08 CONSTRUCTION PERMIT AND STANDARDS. <br />(a) Construction Permit. <br />(1) A Service Provider or Contractar shall obtain a Construction Permit from <br />the City Engineer as provided in this Section, prior to commencing or <br />18 <br />s1z7z9-i
