<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2007 - 119 <br />By: Mayor O'Grady <br />AN ORDINANCE LOCALLY DESIGNATING AND NAMING THE ENTIRE SECTION <br />OF COUNTY ROAD NOS. 76 AND 118 AS LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, FROM THE CITY'S SOUTHERN CORPORATION LINE TO ITS <br />NORTHERN CORPORATION LINE, STEARNS ROAD. <br />WHEREAS, existing County Road 76 in and through the City of North Olmsted was long ago natned <br />Stearns Road in honor of one of the founding families of North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, the North Olmsted Landmarks Commission has recommended to the Administratio: <br />and this City Collncil that the currently under construction extension of County Road 76, known as Couilty <br />Road l 18, which, in North Olmsted, will be located between Lorain Road and the north corporate line of <br />North Olmsted, should continue to bear the name of this honored founding family of North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Director of Public Service have communicated with the Cuyahoga <br />County Eiigineer, who sent a letter to the Mayor on October 5, 2007, stating that it is his recommeiidation as <br />C'Liyahoga County Engineer that new County Road 118 froin Lorain Road to the northern corporation line of <br />North Olmsted be named Stearns Road, and that the North Olmsted City Council adopt an ordinance so <br />naming the section of County Road 118 located within the City of North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, it is therefore the desire of this Council, acting upon the recommendation of the <br />Cuyahoga Colmty Engineer, the Mayor, the Director of Public Service, and the North Olmsted Landmarlcs <br />Commission, that the section of County Road 76 located within the City of North Olmsted continue to be <br />named Stearns Road and that the section of new County Road 118 as located within the City of North <br />Olmsted also be named Stearns Road, so that both sections of these connected County Roads from the City' <br />soutll corporation line to its north corporation line are named Stearns Road; <br />NOW, THL'REFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTCD, COUNTY OF CCTYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: T11at the section of County Road 76 located within the City of North OImsted from <br />the City's south corporation line to Lorain Road shall continue to be nanled Stearns Road and that the section <br />of new County Road 118 from Lorain Road to the northern corporation line of North Olmsted also be named <br />Stearns Road, so that both sections of these connected County Roads from the City's south coiporation ]ine to <br />its noi•th corporation line will be named Stearns Road in honor of oile of North Olmsted's foundiilg falnilies. <br />SFCTION 2: That the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to serve fully attested copies of this <br />Ordinance upon Cuyalloga Gounty Engineer Robert C. Klaiber, Jr, and upon the Survey Departinent of the <br />CLryahoga C:oullty Engineer. <br />
