<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2007 - 108 <br />By: Mayor O'Grady <br /> <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE MA YOR TO ENTER INTO AN <br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CUYAHOGA <br />COUNTY SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT IN ORDER TO <br />PARTICIPATE IN THE DISTRICT'S PROGRAM TO COLLECT AND SELL <br />RECYCLABLES IN THE MARKETPLACE. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service recommends that this Council authorize the <br />Mayor to enter into an Agreement with the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste Management District <br />in order to participate in the District's program to collect and sell recyclables in the marketplace; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to so authorize the Mayor so that the City may <br />participate in the said program and receive revenues from some of the recyclables that are <br />generated in the City's solid waste collections; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized, on behalf of the City of <br />North Olmsted, to enter into an agreement with the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste 1Vlanagement <br />District, entitled as the "Intergovernmental Agreement for Recycling of Newspapers, Mixed <br />Paper, and Cardboard in Cuyahoga County," a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" <br />and incoiporated herein by reference, with only such changes therein as are not substantially <br />adverse to the City and which are approved by the Mayor and the Director of Law. The character <br />of any such changes as not being substantially adverse to the City shall be evidenced conclusively <br />by the execution of the agreement by the Mayor and the approval of the agreement by the <br />Director of Law. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and afte: ?he <br />earliest period provide for by law.
