<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2007 - 13 <br />By: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A <br />RENEWED ONE-YEAR SERVICE CONTRACT FOR THE TERM JANUARY <br />1, 2007 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2007 WITH TAC COMPUTER INC., IN <br />ORDER TO PROVIDE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SERVICES FOR <br />VARIOVS COMPUTER HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE AT THE POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WIEREAS, the City's current contract with TAC Computer Inc., providing maintenance <br />and repair services for certain computer hardware and software at the Police Department expires <br />on December 31, 2006; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Chief of Police that said contract be <br />renewed for the year 2007; and <br />WHEREAS, it is not necessary to competitively bid said contract because the <br />expenditures to be made under the proposed renewed contract will not exceed $25,000.00; and <br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter <br />into a renewed service contract for a one-year period with TAC Computer Inc. to provide the <br />support services for the Police Department set forth above; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into a rene'kved <br />one-year contract with TAC Computer Inc., for the term January l, 2007 through December 31, <br />2007, in order to provide maintenance and repair service for the Police Department server, digital <br />data backup system, Sonicwall, CAD software support, MDT interface and CRIS upload system. <br />The new contract shall be in the form and substance of the attached three-page "Flat Rate Service <br />Agreement," marked as Exhibit A and attached hereto, with only such changes to be hereinafter <br />made as are not substantially adverse to the City and which are approved by the Director of Law. <br />The character of any such changes as not being substantially adverse to the City shall be <br />evidenced conclusively by the execution of the Agreement by the Mayor and the approval of the <br />Agreement by the Director of Law. <br />
