<br />party agrees to provide police services and potice equipment at those times and <br />ptaces that tend to require long-term or immediate participation by a party to this <br />agreement. The extent of such response by the responding party sha(( be <br />determined by the Mayor, Director of Public Sa#ety, or Chief of Police, of the <br />responding party with sufficient equipment and personnel consistent with the <br />proper pratection of the responding party. <br />2. When a persan authorized by this agreement cafls for assistance, he or she <br />shali descfibe the specific emergency or activity requiring participation by another party <br />tp this agreement. That person shall also give explicit directions to fhe iocation where <br />such assistance is required, and shall, whenever passibie, dispatch sorneone to a <br />specific meeting place to escart the persons respvnding to such call to that destination. <br />3. A party to this agreement shall not charge far the services provided or <br />cost of equipment provided in this agreement. Each of the parties shall assume <br />the expense and cost of any loss or damage to its own equipment or apparatus <br />that may be incurced while in the othec party's boundaries, or while responding to <br />a call in accordance with, or under the terms of, this agreernent. <br />4. As provide in Section 737.04 of the Revised Code, Chapter 2744 of the <br />Revised Code, insofar as it appiies to the operation of poiice departments, shali <br />appiy to the parties to this agceernent and to the police department members <br />when they are rendering service vutside their own subdivisions under this <br />contract and when ihey are enroute to rendering service outside their own <br />subdivisians, and when they are enroute from rendering secvice outside their own <br />subdivision. 5. As provided in Section 737.04 of the Ohio Revised Code, Pofice <br />Department members acting outs+de their subdivision in which they are <br />employed, when acting under this agreement, shall be entitfed to participate in <br />any indemnity fund established by their employer to the same extent as whiie <br />acting within the emplQying subdivision. Those members shall be entitled to aii <br />the rights and benefris of Chapter 4123 of the Revised Gode to the same extent <br />as while performing service within ihe subdivision. The pensian or indemnity <br />fund of the municipal corporation of the requesting party shall nat be liable for <br />any benefits of the municipal corporation of the responding pahy. <br />6.
