? <br />? <br />?.?<or <br />k? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2007 - 35 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 957.01 OF CHAPTER 957 <br />(ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ON PUBLIC GROUNDS) OF THE CODIFIED <br />ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED IN ORDER TO <br />PERMIT ALCOHOL TO BE SOLD AND CONSUMED AT NORTH <br />OLMSTED PARK IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE 2007 AFL-CIO LABOR <br />DA Y PARADE. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Community Life Services has recommended that this <br />Council permit, for the 2007 AFL-CIO Labor Day Parade only, that the sale and consumption of <br />alcohol be permitted in North Olmsted Park in conjunction with the said parade; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Section 957.01 of Chapter 957 (Alcoholic Beverages on Public <br />Grounds) of the Codified Ordinances, which currently reads as follows: <br />957.01 PERMITTED CIRCUMSTANCES. <br />The sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages shall be permitted despite the <br />provisions of Section 529.09 prohibiting such sale and consumption, only under the following <br />specific circumstances. <br />(a) The prohibition of possession, use, sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages in <br />public buildings or on public grounds shall not apply to municipally owned golf <br />courses, dance halls or party centers. <br />(b) The prohibition of possession, use or consumption of alcoholic beverages in <br />public buildings or on public grounds shall not apply to municipally owned senior housing or <br />any of the accessory buildings associated therewith, and located on the grounds of the senior <br />housing complex. <br />BE AND HEREBY IS AMENDED, AS FOLLOWS: <br />957.01 PERMITTED CIRCUMSTANCES. <br />The sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages shall be permitted despite the <br />provisions of Section 529.09 prohibiting such sale and consumption, only under the following <br />specific circumstances. <br />(a) The prohibition of possession, use, sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages 'n <br />public buildings or on public grounds shall not apply to municipally owned golf <br />courses, dance halls or party centers. <br />(b) The prohibition of possession, use or consumption of alcoholic beverages in <br />public buildings or on public grounds shall not apply to municipally owned senior <br />housing or any of the accessory buildings associated therewith, and located on the <br />grounds of the senior housing complex.
