<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2007 - 45 <br />By: Mayor O'Grady <br />? <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY LIFE <br />SERVICES TO PURCHASE YEHICLES AND RELATED EQUIPMENT <br />FOR THE SPRINGVALE GOLF COURSE THROUGH THE STATE <br />PURCHASE PROGRAM; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE SUCH <br />PURCHASES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Community Life Services and the Springvale Facilities <br />Manager recommend that the City purchase certain vehicles and related equipment to meet <br />current Springvale Golf Course maintenance needs, and further recommend that such needs <br />would be met by purchasing, through the State Purchase Program, a Toro Groundmaster 355-D <br />from Century Equipment (State Contract #777515C) and a New Holland TL45SDA Tractar from <br />West Shore New Holland, Inc (State Contract #77515P); and <br />WHEREAS, it is further recommended by the Director of Community Life Services and <br />the Springvale Facilities Manager that the purchase transaction with West Shore New Holland <br />include trading-in a City-owned 1984 Ford 2110 Tractor, which can no longer be put to any <br />reasonable City use; and <br />WHEREAS, the funds necessary for the purchase of such vehicles and related equipment <br />have been borrowed, appropriated for this purpose by this Council, and are now available to be <br />expended; and <br />WHEREAS, the purchase of said vehicles and equipment, although in excess of Twenty- <br />Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) is not legally required by the City Charter to be competitively <br />bid locally, because said items are being purchased through the State Purchase Program, which is <br />deemed under the City Charter to meet the Charter requirements for competitive bidding; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Community Life <br />Services to purchase said vehicles and related equipment for the Springvale Golf Course, all <br />through the State Purchase Program, and to further authorize the Mayor, following approval of <br />the Board of Control, if necessary, to execute all documents necessary to effectuate said <br />purchases; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />
