<br />' Resolution No. 2007-46 <br />SECTION 1: That this Council ratifies the actions of a Service Department employee <br />in executing a contract and other related documents for the purchase of a 2007 Ford 500 <br />automobile in November 2006 from John Lance Ford for the Chief of Police, and further <br />authorizes the Mayor to retroactively confirm the purchase by entering into a contract with <br />John Lance Ford, and executing such other necessary documents, in order to legally effectuate <br />the purchase of the said automobile. The contract and other related documents shall be in the <br />same form and substance as those that were executed in November 2006 by a Service <br />Department employee, with only such changes to be hereinafter made as are not substantially <br />adverse to the City and which are approved by the Director of Law. The character of any <br />such changes as not being substantially adverse to the City shall be evidenced conclusively by <br />the execution of the Agreement by the Mayor and the approval of the Agreement by the <br />Director of Law. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />for the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately in order to <br />legally correct a technical charter violation involving the expenditure of public funds at the <br />earliest available time, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST.• <br />v4 <br />?rBA?_RBARA L.
