CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2007 - 47 BY: Mayor O' Grady A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH NICK MAYER LINCOLN-MERCURY, INC. FOR THE PURCHASE OF A 2007 MERCURY MILAN AUTOMOBILE FOR THE ADMINISTRATIVE MOTOR VEHICLE POOL, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, this Council has this year appropriated funds for the purchase of a new motor vehicle for the Administrative Motor Vehicle Pool; and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Public Service that the City purchase a 2007 Mercury Milan from Nick Mayer Lincoln-Mercury; and WHEREAS, it is not necessary to competitively bid the said expenditure because it is for less than $25,000.00, the threshold amount for which the Charter requires competitive bidding; and WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council, in accordance with the recommendation of the Director of Public Service, to authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract with Nick Mayer Lincoln-Mercury for the purchase of a 2007 Mercury Milan automobile, within the appropriations authorized by this Council ; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into a contract, and execute other necessary paperwork, with Nick Mayer Lincoln-Mercury for the purchase of a 2007 Mercury Milan automobile. The contract shall be in the form and substance of the contract marked as Exhibit A and attached hereto, with only such changes to be hereinafter made as are not substantially adverse to the City and which are approved by the Director of Law. The character of any such changes as not being substantially adverse to the City shall be evidenced conclusively by the execution of the Agreement by the Mayor and the approval of the Agreement by the Director of Law.
