<br />Ordinance No. 2007-52 <br />505.15 KEEPING, MAINTAINING AND FEEDING OF WILD A1vIMALS. <br />(a) Definition "Wild Animal". Any living wild or potentially dangerous <br />mammal, reptile, fo wl, or other animal species which is not naturally tame or gentle, <br />but is of a wild na ture or disposition and not customarily domesticated, and which <br />because of its characteristics may constitute a danger to human life or property if it <br />escaped from secure quarters. A wild animal shall include, but not be limited to: <br />(1) All poisonous snakes and constricting snakes exceeding six feet, <br />(2) Bears (Ursidae). <br />(3) Cheetahs (Acinonyx jubatus). <br />(4) Coyotes and coyotes-dog hybrids (Canids). <br />(5) Hyenas (Hyaenides). <br />(6) Jaguars (Panthera onca). <br />(7) Leopards (Panthera pardus). <br />(8) Lions (Panethera leo). <br />(9) Lynxes (lynx). <br />(10) Pumas, also known as cougars, mountain lions and panthers <br /> (Felis concolor). <br />(11) Primates (non-human), apes, monkeys, baboons, chimpanzeE:s, <br /> gibbons, gorillas, orangutans, siamangs. <br />(12) Tigers (Panthera tigris). <br />(13) Wild cats, ocelot, margay, servral, leopard cat. <br />(14) Wolves. <br />(15) Raccoons, opossums, bats, and skunks. <br />(b) Prohibition against Keeping and/or Maintaining Wild Animals. It shall <br />be unlawful for any person or persons to displav, maintain or in any other manner <br />keep ' a wild animal, either inside or outside a structure, within the <br />City, with the following exceptions: <br />, + --a <br />(31) Any fish or similar aquatic vertebrates bred to remain, and to be <br />kept and maintained, in an indoor tank of water. <br />(42) Any domestic, non-farm animal including, but not limited to dogs <br />or cats. <br />(c) Prohibition against Feeding Wild Animals. <br />(1) It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to intentionally <br />feed any of the following enumerated wild animals within the <br />City so as to create a nuisance condition as described in <br />subparagraph (2) of this paragraph (c) : <br />A. Racoons. <br />B. Deer. <br />C. Skunks. <br />D. Wild domestic cats. <br />(2) A nuisance condition shall be deemed to exist for purposes of <br />subparagraph (1) of this paragraph (c) when, as a natural and <br />predictable result of the amount and type of food given a wild <br />animal or animals, and/or the repetitive nature of the feedings, <br />made, the wild animal or animals does any of the following in the <br />City: <br />??.,. .
