<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2007 - 62 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOL UTION EXTENDING FOR AN ADDITIONAL THREE MONTH <br />PERIOD THE CONTRACT WITH RICHARD L. BOWEN & <br />ASSOCIATES, INC., AND DANIEL J. COLLINS TO, RESPECTIVELY, <br />PROVIDE ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES TO THE CITY <br />AND SER VE AS CITY ENGINEER. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the authorization of Ordinance No. 2006-118, the Director of <br />Public Service conducted an RFP process designed to select an engineering firm that would, <br />by contract, provide a City Engineer to the City and consulting engineering services as needed <br />by the City; and <br />WHEREAS, as a result of the RFP process conducted, the Board of Control awarded <br />a contract to Richard L. Bowen & Associates, Inc. to provide consulting engineering services <br />to the City and to Daniel J. Collins to serve as City Engineer, for the period October 1, 2006 <br />through July 31, 2007; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Public Service that the <br />contract of Richard L. Bowen & Associates, Inc. and Daniel J. Collins be extended far an <br />additional three month period from August 1, 2007 to October 31, 2007; and <br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council, acting upon the <br />recommendation of the Director of Public Service, to authorize the Mayor to enter into an <br />extension contract with Richard L. Bowen & Associates, Inc. to provide consulting <br />engineering services and with Daniel J. Collins to serve as City Engineer, for an additional <br />three month period from August 1, 2007 through October 31, 2007; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into an extension <br />contract with Richard L. Bowen & Associates, Inc. to provide consulting engineering services <br />to the City and with Daniel J. Collins to serve as City Engineer, for an additional three rno^`h <br />period from August 1, 2007 to October 31, 2007. <br />SECTION 2: Said extension contract shall be in form and substance, with the <br />exception of the dates of the extended term, identical to the current contract between the City <br />and Richard L. Bowen & Associates, Inc, and Daniel J. Collins, with only such changes <br />therein as are not substantially adverse to the City and which are approved by the Director of <br />Law. The character of any such changes as not being substantially adverse to the City shall be <br />evidenced conclusively by the execution of the agreement by the Mayor and the approval of <br />the agreement by the Director of Law.
