<br />' ' Resolution No. 2007-64 <br />SECTION 1: That the City of North Olmsted, on behalf of its citizens, urges tYiat the <br />United States continue funding operations in Iraq only insofar as a timetable for the orderly <br />withdrawal of US forces from Iraq begin as soon as possible. <br />SECTION 2: That the Congress should pass legislation prohibiting the President from <br />spending taxpayer dollars on any new escalation in Iraq, expansion of the conflict beyond Iraqi <br />borders, or military operations against Iran, unless he first seeks Congressional approval. <br />SECTION 3: That a suitable copy of this resolution shall be sent to President of the <br />United States George W. Bush, Senator George Voinovich, Senator Sherrod Browil, and <br />Congressman Dennis Kucinich. <br />SECTION 4: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />for the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately due to <br />the fact that each day the war in Iraq continues increases the loss of life and costs to individuals, <br />families, and the nation. <br /> <br />PASSED: <br />First Reading: 0-/o <br />Second Reading: // ?
