CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2007 - 78 <br />BY: Mayor Thomas E. O'Grady <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE MA YOR TO S UBMIT AN <br />APPLICATION FOR STATE OF OHIO ISSUE 1 INFRASTRUCTURE <br />BOND PROGRAM FUNDING FOR DOVER CENTER ROAD <br />RESURFACING FROM BUTTERNUT RIDGE ROAD TO THE <br />WESTLAKE CORPORATION LINE AND FOR FITCH ROAD <br />REPAVING FROM THE CORPORATION LINE AT OLMSTED <br />TOWNSHIP TO BUTTERNUT RIDGE ROAD AND FURTHER TO <br />ACCEPT SAID FUNDING IF AWARDED, SUBJECT TO ALL TERMS <br />AND CONDITIONS, INCLUDING THE CITY'S PORTION OF COSTS, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Dover Center Road is a County Route (C.R. 58) located within the <br />boundaries of the City of North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, Fitch Road is a County Route (C.R. 170) located within the boundaries of <br />the City of North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, The Cuyahoga County Engineer's Office and the City of North Olmsted are <br />desirous of making application to the State of Ohio for Issue 1 funding in connection with the <br />resurfacing of Dover Center Road and the repaving of Fitch Road; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has agreed with the Cuyahoga County Engineer's <br />Office to make application to the State of Ohio for Issue 1 funding on behalf of the Cuyahoga <br />County Engineer's Office and the City of North Olmsted, in connection with the Dover Center <br />Road Resurfacing and Fitch Road Repaving projects; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor is hereby authorized to submit an application to the Ohio <br />Public Works Commission for Issue 1 funding for pover Center Road Resurfacing and Fitch <br />Road Repaving in connection with the Project; to accept said funding if awarded, subject to all <br />terms and conditions, including the City's portion of costs; and to execute all contracts and other <br />documents and do all things necessary in furtherance thereof. <br />SECTION 2: That, if such application is approved, it is the intent of this Council to pay <br />for this City's portion of the costs in connection with such project therewith. <br />??? . .
