?. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2007-88 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady and the entire City Council <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SER VICE <br />TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR LEAF PICK-UP SERVICE; FURTHER <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, UPON APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF <br />CONTROL, TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST <br />BIDDER; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City's leaf pick-up contract with its present contractor expires this year; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to advertise for <br />bids for a new contract and for the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract <br />with the lowest and best bidder; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for b: <br />for leaf pick-up service in accordance with the specifications on file in his office, and that further, following <br />approval of the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with the lowest and best <br />bidder. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediate'y <br />necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it is <br />necessary for this Resolution to go into effect immediately in order to have a contract in place in time for the <br />City's leaf pick-up program for 2007, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br />PASSED: i a// oZO9?
