<br />Ordinance No. 2004-174 <br />otherwise secured by any permanent means to any building, permanent sign, other <br />structure or improvement, or to the ground upon which it is erected. <br />(c) No temporary sign shall be mounted, attached, affixed, installed or <br />otherwise secured so as to protrude above the roof of a structure. <br />(d) No temporary sign shall exceed thirty-two (32) square feet in sign face <br />area, nor six (6) feet in height. The total sign face area of all temporary signs on a lot: shall <br />not exceed fifty percent (50%) of the total permitted permanent sign face area for said lot. <br />(e) No temporary sign shall be nearer than two (2) feet to any other permanent <br />sign, building or structure, nor nearer than ten (10) feet to any other temporary sign. <br />( fl No temporary sign shall be illuminated by anything other than non- <br />reflected daylight, except by variance issued by the Board of Zoning Appeals. <br />(g) Permits for temporary signs shall authorize their erection and maintenance <br />for a period not exceeding thiriy (30) days. Said permits may be renewed for additional <br />thirty (30) day periods. Any temporary sign not otherwise exempted by Section 1163 .04 <br />shall be removed at the expiration of the temporary sign permit period. <br />(Ord. 2000-12. Passed 5-2-00.) <br />be amended, and, as amended, shall read in its entirety as follows: <br />"1163.33 TEMPORARY SIGNS. <br />(a) Temporary signs shall be set back at least five (5) feet from every right-of- <br />way line, and at least twenty (20) feet from any side or rear lot line; shall not extend more <br />than six (6) inches from any wall or structure upon which they are erected; and shall not <br />obscure any light or ventilation openings. Temporary signs shall be designed and <br />constructed in accordance with the following requirements: <br />(1) Designed, printed and manufactured or painted by <br />professional signmaker; <br />(2) Not more than 4 colors and 2 fonts; <br />(3) Graphics and lettering not to exceed 60% of the sign face area; <br />(4) Surface materials limited to cloth, canvas, polyvinyl, plastic or <br />plastic laminate securely assembled over foamboard, banner <br />stock or cardboard backing, or weather resistant board, <br />wallboard or treated wood; <br />(5) Graphics and lettering to be printed or applied by professional <br />signmaker, computer generated images trimmed from self- <br />adhesive vinyl or applied directly to surface materials, or <br />professionally stenciled and hand-painted. <br />(b) No temporary sign shall be mounted, attached, affixed, installed or <br />otherwise secured by any permanent means to any building, permanent sign, other <br />structure or improvement, or to the ground upon which it is erected. <br />(c) No temporary sign shall be mounted, attached, affixed, installed or <br />otherwise secured so as to protrude above the roof of a structure. <br />(d) No temporary sign shall exceed thirty-two (32) square feet in sign face <br />area, nor six (6) feet in height.
